This work is a table open to the sea—Hai-an—installed along the Algal Reef Road on the western coast of Taoyuan City.

The scent of the rocky shore at low tide, and fish leaping in the distance. Clouds drifting across the sky, waves lapping the shore, the setting sun in the west, and the sea breeze and raging waves during a storm.

The seascape is in constant flux, never allowing a single moment to linger there.

The “motion” of the ever-moving sea and the “stillness” of Hai-an standing on the shore serve as a stage set that transforms the everyday life of the sea into art.
